Mashed World is a map projects site aimed at combining different data sources in different ways.
The site currently combines the landmark dataset from Placeopedia with browse and search features to create a browsable encyclopedia / atlas useful for all desktop travellers.
We have Wikipedia articles available for all places on the Google Map and a Google Video search feature. New features are also under development.
Placeopedia is a site which links Wikipedia articles to a Google Map. Placeopedia data is shared under the creative commons license. Visit Placeopedia and help to add more places to the map.

The aim is to build a collection of KML files on one site that can be browsed or searched. You can also include a link to one webpage on your site within each place record so it works like a link exchange on a large scale. |
